SPML Infra Ltd has received three new orders worth a total of Rs 250 crore for power transmission and distribution projects in the states of West Bengal and Haryana.

Shares of the company surged 9% to hit a month’s high of Rs 64.90 intraday Wednesday on BSE after the announcement came in. At 2.48 pm, the Rs 2 face value shares were trading at Rs 62.40, up 5.49% from the previous closing of Rs 59.15.

The orders include a project worth Rs 106.92 crore for rural electricity infrastructure development for agricultural feeder separation works under Deendayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana in Murshidabad which involves 11 kV transmission lines, new substation, renovation/augmentation of existing 11 kV line and substation and replacement of LT meters to be completed in 24 months’ time.

Another order worth Rs 89.40 crore is for extension of 7 substations-400/220 kV AIS substation including 2 numbers of 500 MVA ICTs in Malda, 400/220 kV substation in Durgapur, 400/220 kV substation in Jeypore, 400/200 kV substation in Rourkela, 400 kV substation in Angul and two units of 400 kV substation in Maithon of both power grid and Damodar Valley Corporation under the Eastern region strengthening scheme and all will be completed in 20 months’ time.

The third order of Rs 48.88 crore has been received from Haryana Vidhyut Prasaran Nigam Ltd for desing, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of 220 kV GIS substation in sector 46 in Faridabad, Haryana. The work has a completion period of 18 months.
