
Skipper Bags Rs 405-Cr Transmission Tower Order
Skipper Ltd, the flagship company of the SK Bansal Group, has bagged Rs 405 crore worth contracts for the supply of transmission towers.
“The company has secured contracts worth Rs 405 crore approximately for supply of transmission towers to the projects of Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL), Transmission Corporation of Telengana Ltd (TSTRANSCO) and Power Transmission Corporation of Uttarakhand Ltd (PTCUL),” the company said in a regulatory filing.
Incorporated in 1981, Skipper Ltd is India’s leading manufacturer of transmission and distribution structures (towers and poles). The Kolkata-based company manufactures power transmission and telecom towers, tubular and hi-mast poles, Electric Resistance Welded (ERW) tubes, and polymer products (pipes and fittings). Skipper undertakes activity from angle rolling, to fabrication and galvanizing, proto assembly, load testing and even EPC line construction.
