
Siemens Bags Rs 101-Cr Order from Delhi Transco
Siemens Ltd, a Mumbai-based provider of technology enabled solutions to a diversified range of sectors, on Friday announced that it has won an order worth approximately Rs 101 crore from Delhi Transco Ltd (DTL), the state transmission utility of New Delhi.
According to the company, the current order includes installing 220/66/33kV Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) substation at RK Puram, New Delhi.
Keeping in view the land constraints and environmental hazards, DTL is prioritizing GIS substations in place of Air Insulated Switchgear (AIS) substations. GIS substations are both reliable and maintenance-friendly, and contribute to improved quality of power in the system.
Siemens’ shares closed trading in red at Rs 1,208.35, down 1.12% from the previous closing of Rs 1,222.05, on BSE today.
Two days ago, the company posted a 43.75% YoY rise in its standalone net profit for the quarter ended December 31, 2016, at Rs 160 crore compared with Rs 111.30 crore it posted in the same quarter last fiscal.
