RPP Infra Bags Rs 542-Mn Worth Orders, Shares Hit 52-Week High

Infrastructure major RPP Infra Projects Ltd has bagged two new orders worth a total of Rs 542 million.

“RPP Infra Projects Ltd has received order from Kamarajar Port Ltd for construction of container pre-stacking yard and other ancillary facilities for worth Rs 242 million and work received from Annai Infra Developers Pvt Ltd, Erode for Chennai Corporation to construct the integrated storm water drains in Virugambakkam and Arumbakkam water shed of Cooum Basin in expanded area of Chennai Corporation for worth Rs 300 million,” said the company in a filing on Wednesday.

Shares of the company touched a record high of Rs 236, up nearly 20%, on BSE intraday Wednesday after the announcement came in. At 1.50 pm, the Rs 10 face value shares were trading at Rs 235, up 19.47% from the previous closing of Rs 196.70.

Arulsundaram, Chairman and Managing Director, RPP Infra, said, “India envisage a big growth for infrastructure incoming days as announced in union budget for rural and urban areas, the company is poised to garner a sizable growth from this by winning orders currently and few more orders going ahead. We are happy that the revenues and profit of our company will touch new heights in coming years.”
