
Reliance Infra could bag Rs 800-crore Tamil Nadu road job
Anil Ambani-led Reliance Infrastructure has emerged the lowest bidder for a Rs 800-crore highway construction job in Tamil Nadu, people close to the development told ET.
The project entails widening a 66 km-long section of NH-45 C connecting Vikkaravandi to Pinalur-Sethiyahopu into four lanes. The engineering, construction and procurement project is to be completed in 24 months.
The Tamil Nadu project, which is under the government’s flagship National Highway Development Programme and is funded by National Highways Authority of India, saw bids from companies like L&T, IL&FS and Punj Lloyd, the persons cited earlier said.
Reliance Infrastructure executives declined to confirm the development. It could not be confirmed with government authorities either.
