
L&T shares gain on power T&D orders in November
Shares of Larsen and Toubro (L&T) gained 0.9 percent intraday Thursday on power transmission and distribution orders in November.
"Power transmission and distribution business of L&T Construction, a brand of L&T, has bagged orders worth Rs 1,038 crore in international and domestic markets in November," the company says in its filing.
Subsidiary L&T Saudi Arabia LLC has bagged an order valued USD 108.2 million for construction of substations from National Grid, a subsidiary of Saudi Electricity Company.
These projects are scheduled to be completed in 24 months. In domestic market, it has won an order from the Odisha Power Transmission Corporation for engineering, supply, erection and commissioning of underground cable networks, compact substations in Bhubaneswar city.
At 11:50 hours IST, the scrip of Larsen and Toubro was quoting at Rs 1,343.50, up Rs 1.15, or 0.09 percent on the BSE.
