Kerala Electrical and Allied Engineering Co. Ltd (KEL), a State public sector unit, received an order for transformers worth Rs. 64 crore from the Karnataka public sector unit Bangalore Electricity Company Ltd.



The transformer unit of KEL at Mamala will manufacture and deliver transformers as per the order. KEL hopes to receive similar orders from other electricity distribution companies under the Karnataka government. KEL’s Mamala unit is mostly reliant on orders received from neighbouring States.
