
Kalpataru Stock Gains on Rs 823-Cr Order Wins
Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd (KPTL), a leading global EPC player in the power and infrastructure contracting sector, on Monday, announced that the company has won new orders worth Rs 823 crore.
According to the company, the latest orders include an overseas project of approximately Rs 737 crore for transmission line construction in West Africa and a domestic project worth approximately Rs 86 crore for construction of 220 kv GIS substations in Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Ltd (HVPNL).
Last month, the Gujarat-based company had bagged three orders worth more than a total of Rs 825 crore which also included an African project.
Commenting on the current order win, Manish Mohnot, Managing Director, KPTL, said, “we continued to build our international order book. We have announced orders in excess of Rs 5,000 crore in this year till date, which will help us achieving healthy growth for future.”
KPTL shares surged intra-day Monday on BSE after the news came in. At 12.27 pm, the Rs 2 face value shares were trading at Rs 289.05, up 0.42% from the previous closing of Rs 287.85.
