
Kalpataru Hits New 52-Week High on Winning Rs 1,200 Cr New Orders
Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd (KPTL), a leading player in the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) player in the power and infrastructure space, has bagged new orders worth Rs 1,200 crore. With the new order win, the company has projects in the pipeline worth close to Rs 13,000 crore approximately.
Shares of the company surged over 8% to touch a new 52-week high of Rs 314.95 intradayWednesday on BSE. The Rs 2 face value shares closed trading at Rs 309.40, up 6.74% from the previous closing of Rs 289.85.
The orders bagged by the company include a transmission line project to be executed on a turnkey basis valued at Rs 402 crore for Transmission Corporation of Telengana Ltd (TSTTRANSCO), Hyderabad. The EPC major also bagged another order worth Rs 464 crore from Railways Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL) for constructing a railway infrastructure project in Hyderabad, Telengana. The project is awarded to a consortium led by of KPTL with JMC and STC as partners.
The last order of Rs 336 crore is an overseas project for Abu Dhabi government for setting up a power evacuation facility on a turnkey basis.
“We continued our thrust on profitable growth with orders across all business segments. Our current order book provides good visibility of achieving 15-20% growth in next year. We continue to build our portfolio of projects in railways EPC sector, which will be a key growth driver going forward.” said Manish Mohnot, Managing Director and CEO, KPTL in a statement.
