
JMC Projects Wins New Orders Worth Rs 1,457 Crore
JMC Projects (India) Ltd, India’s leading civil engineering and EPC company and a part of the real estate developer Kalpataru Group , on Thursday announced that it has won five new orders worth a total of Rs 1,457 crore in four South Indian states.
Shares of the company surged more than 15% intraday Thursday on BSE after the company’s announcement came in. At 1.17 pm, the Rs 10 face value shares were trading at Rs 224.10, up 7.71% from the previous closing of Rs 208.05.
According to the company’s latest filing with the bourses, the current orders include a Rs 454 crore shipyard modernization project in Goa along with a Rs 446 crore worth flyover project in Maharashtra. It also consists of a residential project in Bangalore worth approximately Rs 224 crore.
The remaining two works are in the state of Andhra Pradesh which include a commercial project in Hyderabad worth approximately Rs 282 crore and an educational building project in Amravati worth Rs 51 crore.
Commenting on securing new orders, S K Tripathi, CEO and Managing Director, JMC, said, “in the past few quarters, we have successfully increased our presence in government projects, it would enhance our growth sustainability going forward.”
