Mumbai-based Indian Hume Pipe Company Ltd has won a new order worth Rs 183 crore in Tamil Nadu.

“The company has secured work order of Rs 183.46 crore from Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board, Coimbatore for providing improvements to water supply distribution to the added areas of Tirupur Corporation in Tirupur District including trial run, commissioning,” the company said in a statement on Saturday.

According to the statement, the project is to be completed within 24 months for construction from the date of issuance of the work order and paid maintenance for a period of one year. The formal agreement will be signed in due course, it added

Indian Hume Pipe Company Ltd, established in 1926, manufactures and markets hume pipes and other allied products such as prestressed concrete pipes (non-cylinder), prestressed concrete cylinder pipes, bar wrapped steel cylinder pipes, hume steel pipes, welded steel penstocks and prestressed concrete railway sleepers.
