IL&FS Engg Receives Rs 237-Cr Worth of LoIs for Jharkhand Electrification Works

The Hyderabad-based infrastructure development firm IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company Ltd on Wednesday has bagged Rs 236.76-crore worth of Letters of Intent (LoIs) from Jharkand Bijli Vitran Nigam Ltd (JBVNL) under the Integrated Power Development Scheme (IPDS).

According to the company, the first LoI is for supply of all equipment and materials, including providing for all erection services related to the contract for urban electrification works of Dhanbad electric supply circle of JBVNL covering two towns (Dhanbad and Chirkunda) in Dhanbad district for a contract price of Rs 126.38 crore.

The Rs 110.38-crore worth second LoI is also for supply of all equipment and materials including providing for all erection services related to the contract for urban electrification works of Dumka-Sahibganj electric supply circle of JBVNL covering seven towns (Dumka, Sahibganj, Mihijam, Pakur, Rajmahal, Jamtara and Basukinath) in Dumka, Jamtara, Sahibganj and Pakur districts.

The works have a completion schedule of 24 months, according to the company.

IL&FS Engineering Services is already working for Rural Electrification (RE) and IPDS works in Jharkhand state at Sahibganj, East & West Singhbhum, and Jamshedpur. The company is currently executing RE works/IPDS works for more than Rs 1,850 crore across India.
