HCC rises 7%, touches 1-year high on Rs 368 cr order win

Shares of Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) touched a 52-week high of Rs 44.85, rises 7.5 percent intraday Tuesday on order win from IRCON International. The company has bagged an order worth Rs 368.6 crore from IRCON International for construction of the cable stayed bridge including its approaches across river Anji Khad in Jammu & Kashmir. The project is to be completed in 36 months. The bridge will connect tunnels T2 and T3 on Katra–Banihal section of Udhampur–Srinagar–Baramulla rail link project. This is the fifth order the company has received from IRCON International. Arun Karambelkar, President & CEO of HCC said, “It is a matter of great pride that HCC is associated with IRCON in the successful completion of many of its projects.” At 11:53 hrs Hindustan Construction Company was quoting at Rs 43.40, up Rs 1.65, or 3.95 percent on the BSE.
