Genus Power Infrastructures Ltd (GPIL), part of the $300 million Kailash group, on Thursday said that it has won an order worth approximately Rs 54 crore from Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam Ltd (JBVNL).

According to the company, the order is for supply, installation, commissioning, data collection, report generation and annual maintenance contract for 5 years of ~10,000 Distribution Transformer Meters with an inbuilt CT & Modem feature.

“Supplies are to be completed by Q1FY19. This is a significant milestone for Genus which will enhance our market position as a technologically advanced meter supplier. Post this, our total order book stands at Rs 1,149 crore,” the company added.

Commenting on the order win, Jitendra Kumar Agarwal, Joint MD, said, “we are pleased to have secured this contract from JBVNL for supply and maintenance of DT Meters. This order, helps Genus to display its capabilities and position itself as a supplier of technologically advanced meters.”

Incorporated in 1995, GPIL is engaged in the manufacture and distribution of electronic energy meters, power distribution management projects, hybrid microcircuits, inverters, batteries, home UPS and online UPS in India and abroad.
