
CMI Bags Rs 30 Cr BHEL, East Central Railways Orders
Specialty cable company CMI Ltd has won orders worth more than Rs 30 crore from the East Central Railways and BHEL (Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd), to provide Railway Signalling cables and HT XPLE cables, respectively.
According to reports, the BHEL order is worth Rs 9.97 crore, and seeks to supply HT XPLE cables to be delivered in the next 4 months. Meanwhile, railway signalling cables order from East Central Railways is worth Rs 20.68 crore, and will be staggered over a period of 8 months.
The two orders are reportedly revenue accretive and together with several other orders that were bagged in May 2017, is seen as adding more than Rs 151 crore to the CMI Ltd topline for financial year 2017-18.
A CMI official has been quoted in the reports as saying that the continued focus of the government on redefining both the infrastructure segment and Indian Railways, will help the industry grow at a faster pace.
