
Brookfield, Hiranandani sign commercial space deal
Mumbai-based Hiranandani group has signed an agreement with Canada's Brookfield Asset Management to sell its four million sq ft of office and retail space in Powai. The deal is estimated at about USD one billion (Rs 6,700 crore).
The company, which owns 2,000 acre, has plans of floating a REIT (real estate investment trust) comprising its upcoming projects.
In 2014, Brookfield bought four SEZs owned by Unitech Corporate Parks for Rs 3,500 crore, and two other assets in the country.
