Atlanta Bags Rs 1,292-Cr NHAI Project

Infrastructure development company Atlanta Ltd has received the Letter of Award for a Rs 1,292 crore worth road project in the state of Gujarat, from National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). On 11th January, 2017, the company had been declared as a preferred bidder for the project.

“The company has received the Letter of Award (LOA) for six laning from km 401.200 to 494.410 of NH-8 in state of Gujarat (length 93.210 km) on hybrid annuity mode under NHDP phase V (package-VI) from National Highways Authority of India”, said the company in its latest filing with the BSE on Wednesday.

Based in Mumbai, Atlanta Ltd engages in the construction and development of infrastructure projects in India. The company undertakes various projects, such as toll-based public private partnership infrastructure development projects, along with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects, such as roads, highways, bridges, runways, docks, ports, canals, water courses, irrigation, embankment and reservoirs. Atlanta also involves in the contract mining of limestone and coal.

Shares of the company surged more than 6% intraday Wednesday on BSE after the announcement came in. At 12.43 pm, the Rs 2 face value shares were trading at Rs 76.30, up 4.16% from the previous closing of Rs 73.25.
