Visaka Industries will make an investment of Rs 120 crore in setting up a sustainable fibre cement boards plant in Paschim Medinipur district of West Bengal.

This will be the company’s fifth fibre cement boards plant and the first such unit in the state. It has one more plant in the same district for cement roof sheets.

The new factory will have a manufacturing capacity of 72,000 mtr and will be powered by an in-house solar roof.

The plant is expected to create job opportunities for 500 people.
