Vijayanagar Sugar is planning to expand sugar production capacity at Gangapur in Gadag district of Karnataka.

The capacity will be raised from 5,000 tccpd to 10,000 tccpd. Vijayanagar Sugar is awaiting environment clearance for the project.

Work on the project is expected to commence by November 2022.
