UPL is planning to set up grain based distillery unit to produce ethanol with a capacity of 500 klpd at GIDC Jhagadia, Dadheda village in Bharuch district of Gujarat.

The project will spread over 47.64 acre of land parcel.

The project will also includes installation of 10 MW captive power generation unit.

UPL is awaiting environment clearance for the project.

Work on the project is expected to commence by February 2023.
