The Department of Power, Government of West Bengal has invited tenders for selection of developer for Bandu Pumped Storage Project (Bandu PSP) at Ajodhya Hills Area in Purulia district of West Bengal.

The proposed 900 MW (4x225 MW) Bandu pumped storage project to be developed on design, build, finance, operate and transfer (DBFOT) basis.

The selected bidder will be responsible for designing, engineering, financing, procurement, construction, operation and maintenance of the project under and in accordance with the provisions of a concessions agreement to be entered into between the concessionaire and Department of Power.

The indicative cost of the project is Rs 4,700 crore.
