South Western Railway has invited bids for construction of new broad gauge railway line in the state of Karnataka.

The scope of work involves Construction of new broad gauge railway line between ch 8.020 and ch 48.000 including railway electrification, signal & telecommunication works and general electrical services between Koteganguru (excluding) and Shikaripura (including) stations in Shivamogga-Shikaripura-Ranebennur New Line Project on EPC mode in the South Western Railway Zone.

The estimated value of the project is Rs 517.73 crore with completion period for 30 months.
