A third terminal is likely to be constructed at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International (SVPI) airport in Ahmedabad, Gujarat to handle increasing passenger rush.

The terminal will cater to domestic passengers. The city airport is already undergoing expansion and renovation to increase passenger facilities and reduce the turnaround time for transiting passengers.
