Onkar Sakhar Karkhana is planning to expand sugar manufacturing unit capacity from 1,200 tccpd to 4,700 tccpd in Solapur district of Maharashtra.

The project also comprises new multi-feed distillery unit (molasses/heavy molasses/cane juice/syrup based) with a capacity of 150 klpd and 20 MW co-generation power plant.

Onkar Sakhar Karkhana is awaiting environment and other necessary clearances for the project.

Contractor and machinery supplier has been finalised and work on the project is expected to commence by November 2022.
