Mahamanav Ispat intends to expand sponge iron capacity from 100 tpd to 300 tpd at Belagal in Ballari district of Karnataka.

The project also include three MW new coal based captive power plant.

In June 2022, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) granted environment clearance (EC) for the project.

Mahamanav Ispat has applied for consent to establish from the Pollution Control Board.

The company is in the process to achieve financial closure for the project.
