JSR Grain Energy is planning to set up a grain-based ethanol plant with a capacity of 275 klpd at in Malda district of West Bengal.

The plant come up over 13.81 acre of land parcel and also include seven MW co-generation power plant.

Work on the project is expected to commence by November 2022.

The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) has accorded environment clearance for the project.
