An information technology park will be set up here at a cost of about Rs 600 crore in Tamil Nadu.

The park will be set up by TIDEL in association with the Madurai Corporation. The IT Park will be operated and administered by TIDEL. The park will be set up in two phases in Maatuthavani.

In Phase-I, IT park would come up on a five-acre campus. In Phase-2, park will be expanded to five more acre.

The park will provide top-class infrastructure amenities and lead Madurai region to economic growth. In Phase-I, 10,000 job opportunities will be created.
