Health & Family Welfare Department, Kerala is constructing 180-bed hospital at Kundara in Kollam district of Kerala.

The project will comprise of eight-storey block having high-end trauma care unit, separate speciality units for orthopaedics, general surgery, general medicine, ophthalmology and dental.

Moreover, it will also have five medical ICUs, five surgical ICUs and two most modern operation theatres. Vellapally Constructions bagged the contract for construction of hospital block along with all associated MEP services & utilities.

Around 50 percent work on the project has been completed. The project is expected to be completed by March 2023.
