Ferro Alloys Corpn. is planning to expand ferro alloys plant capacity for production of high carbon ferro chrome from 75,000 tpa to to 1,45,000 tpa at Randia in Bhadrak district of Odisha.

The project comprises expansion of high carbon ferro chrome capacity by addition of 33 MVA furnace to existing 45 MVA furnace and metal recovery plant from 6,300 tpa to 11,800 tpa.

The company is awaiting environment clearance for the project. Contractor and machinery supplier are yet to be appointed.

Work on the project will commence after getting environment clearance.
