Bhagyalaxmi Metals is planning to set up sponge iron with capacity of seven lakh tpa at Mul village in Chandrapur district of Maharashtra.

The project will include induction furnace with matching CCM, rolling mills, coal gasifier for rolling mill, submerged electric arc furnaces, WHRB based power plant, galvanizing unit, briquetting plant.

The project will spread over 72.74 acre of land parcel. Bhagyalaxmi Metals is awaiting terms of reference (ToR) & environment clearance for the project.

Work on the project is expected to commence by August 2024.
